KYM advises Chief Data Officers across the Federal Government providing trusted advisory and subject matter expertise. We help our customers asses the value of data and understand the evolution and transformation of data as it progresses through its lifecycle and the governance and security of data in various states (at rest, in motion, in use). We help our customers, including Chief Data Officers (CDOs), Data Stewards, Mission personnel and other, to develop data strategies, define data and security standards, respond to executive orders and action and implement those strategies.

SAFe / Agile Program Management and Coaching

Applying agile coaching to transform IT solution delivery

KYM supports agile development efforts across the Federal Government providing coaching and agile support services. Our team of certified (e.g. SAFe, CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP) managers help our customers establish Agile and SAFe methodologies in their organizations as well as join in-flight release trains and programs performing as hands-on program leaders. Our agile professionals have “walked-the-walk” and don’t just “talk-the-talk” and can implement agile practices in any environment.

Our services cover the entire spectrum SAFe and Agile services and our coaches perform the duties of Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Master, and Product Owner. They plan / prepare for program increments (PIs), lead daily stand ups, refine and prioritize PI backlogs, facilitate feature evaluation across Agile Release Trains (ART), plan sprints, conduct retrospectives, facilitate scrum ceremonies, define the minimal viable product (MVP), manage cross-team dependencies and remove impediments, participate in feature evaluation and sizing. We coach client leadership, personnel, and release train participants and provide training on Agile/SAFE processes while promoting agile practices across ARTs and help facilitate communication sessions for Scrum Masters. Our team can stand up agile program management tools such as Jira or utilize systems previously developed or deployed on client site to provide program leadership and product management with a consistent and concise method to view blockers, escalations and other status.

KYM supports the front-line mission of our Federal Agency customers across the Department of Homeland Security providing subject matter expertise, data engineering services, and mission support. Focusing on the mission and mission critical systems and operations, KYM decomposes the business processes of a mission to assess the business value and need of each step. Non-essential and redundant business processes are identified for potential elimination and highly repetitive tasks are surfaced and categorized as automation candidates
